Kyle Hirschfelder

Growing up in Geneseo, IL, Kyle started CrossFit in December 2022 right here at CEF. He grew up skateboarding and snowboarding but as he’s gotten older, he hasn’t been able to enjoy them as much. In his words, taking on functional fitness feel a bit like an action sport and is highly rewarding for personal growth. Kyle started coaching in July 2025 after finishing our CIT internship program.

In his free time, he enjoys snowboarding, cooking salads for his wife, making sure he doesn’t kill plants (avid green thumb), and flicking hair ties at his two beloved cats.

Favorite thing about CEF"Aside from the culture and world class coaches (wink wink), the facilities are unbelievable, the space, and location are all topic notch. Also, competitive when you need it to be. Shoutout to all the members!"

Advice for someone looking to start at CEF?"If you’re worried about getting hurt, I’ve seen more injuries happen in the lounge than in the gym. You’re gonna be fine.
